The pond is lined with sand to prevent any stones or other sharp objects puncturing the lining. The lining is then carefully placed over the hole and eased into position, allowing plenty of overlap. It took 8½ hours to fill the pond with water ! It is then left to allow any chlorine and other chemicals to leave the water.

Decking
Another exciting phase of the project is now started. The decking joists are laid and the newel posts put in place ready for a 12 foot square deck. A small step, also in decking, will be built at the front to allow easy access to the garden path.
